About the Role

We are currently seeking a motivated and experienced Area Shift Leader to join our high-performing team in Northampton on a permanent basis. As a key member of the operations leadership team, you will oversee a dedicated group of production operatives on your shift, ensuring safety, quality, and performance targets are met. The hours of work are 40 per week, working the late shift from 14:00 to 22:00.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about leading teams in a fast-paced manufacturing or logistics environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and motivate shift teams to achieve daily KPIs
  • Ensure all health, safety, and environmental standards are upheld
  • Monitor production output, quality, and operational efficiency
  • Support staff training, development, and performance management
  • Coordinate with planning, engineering, and quality teams to ensure smooth operations
  • Champion continuous improvement and drive team engagement

Ideal Candidate

  • Previous experience in a team leader or supervisory role within manufacturing, logistics, or production
  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Proactive, results-driven, and committed to high standards
  • Flexible and adaptable to different shift patterns and team needs
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles is a plus
  • Willingness to work overtime
  • Hourly salary of £18.90 plus shift allowance of £1.28
