Overview

Area Sales Manager – M&E Building Services. Area to be covered: South West & South Wales. Remuneration: Up to £55,000 + £6,000-£15,000 bonus. Benefits: Fully Expensed Tesla or Plug-In Hybrid Car & Full Benefits.

Responsibilities

• Field sales role selling a manufactured range of commercial pumps into commercial building services projects (e.g., schools, hospitals, high-rise residential and public buildings).
• Approximately 40% of time selling into M&E subcontractors.
• Approximately 35% back selling through national and independent plumbing & heating merchants (ensuring distributors and local stockists are informed about new products).
• Approximately 25% generating specifications with M&E consultants, local authorities, health authorities, other authorities and specialist specifiers (supported by the Specification Manager who covers the South).
• Mainly focused on generating new business while developing existing accounts.
• Project sizes range from £5,000 to £200,000 (average order value around £20,000).
• Territory currently available due to internal promotion; currently tracking 110% of budget YTD.
• Current revenue responsibility £2.3m with a target increase of 5–6% next year.
• Maintain a well-organised CRM system.

Ideal Candidate / Qualifications

• Proven field sales experience within the building services industry.
• Experience selling into M&E contractors is advantageous; contacts are not essential.
• Commercial pump sales background is not essential as full product training will be provided.
• Open to all commercial building services products such as pumps, boilers, valves or other heating and ventilation HV/AC products.
• May consider a domestic heating field sales background looking to transition.
• Specification field sales experience with M&E consultants is advantageous but not essential.
• Technical ability.
• Polished and progressing in career; not seeking a backward step as a manager.
