Area Sales Manager – Livestock Feed
Area Sales Manager – Livestock Feed (Beef & Dairy) - Field-based across the West Midlands UK- Competitive Salary + Bonus + Vehicle + Benefits

The Job:
A leading agricultural business is looking to appoint an Area Sales Manager to drive sales of livestock feed across the beef and dairy sectors. Covering a defined geographic region, you will be responsible for managing existing accounts while identifying and converting new opportunities. This is a customer-facing, solution-led role that requires a confident communicator, capable of building long-term relationships and delivering commercial results.
Key responsibilities include:

  1. Managing and developing a portfolio of beef and dairy customers
  2. Identifying and converting new business opportunities
  3. Understanding customer needs and providing tailored nutritional solutions
  4. Collaborating with technical and planning teams to deliver high service levels
  5. Monitoring competitor activity, market trends, and regulatory changes
  6. Representing the business at trade events and industry meetings
  7. Maintaining accurate CRM records and reporting on sales activity
  8. Ensuring compliance with pricing structures and company procedures

The Company:

The Candidate:

  1. At least 2 years’ experience in sales, account management, or business development
  2. Sound understanding of the UK beef and dairy sectors
  3. Customer-focused, solutions-led approach to sales
  4. Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and organisational skills
  5. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and CRM systems
  6. Strong commercial mindset and the ability to work independently
  7. A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel within the UK West Midlands
  8. Experience in animal nutrition or livestock feed sales
  9. Knowledge of cattle feeding practices and farm operations
