Area Sales Manager – Livestock Feed (Beef & Dairy) - Field-based across the West Midlands UK- Competitive Salary + Bonus + Vehicle + Benefits
The Job:
A leading agricultural business is looking to appoint an Area Sales Manager to drive sales of livestock feed across the beef and dairy sectors. Covering a defined geographic region, you will be responsible for managing existing accounts while identifying and converting new opportunities. This is a customer-facing, solution-led role that requires a confident communicator, capable of building long-term relationships and delivering commercial results.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing and developing a portfolio of beef and dairy customers
- Identifying and converting new business opportunities
- Understanding customer needs and providing tailored nutritional solutions
- Collaborating with technical and planning teams to deliver high service levels
- Monitoring competitor activity, market trends, and regulatory changes
- Representing the business at trade events and industry meetings
- Maintaining accurate CRM records and reporting on sales activity
- Ensuring compliance with pricing structures and company procedures

The Candidate:- At least 2 years’ experience in sales, account management, or business development
- A sound understanding of the UK beef and dairy sectors
- A customer-focused, solutions-led approach to sales
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and organisational skills
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and CRM systems
- A strong commercial mindset and the ability to work independently
- A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel within the UK and Ireland
Desirable:- Experience in animal nutrition or livestock feed sales
- Knowledge of cattle feeding practices and farm operations
