Job Title: Area Sales Manager Construction & Lifting Equipment

Industry Sector: Area Sales Manager, Business Development Manager, Cranes, Mini Cranes, Lifting Equipment, Glass Lifters, Vacuum Lifters, Glazing Robots, Scissor Lift, Restricted Access Lifting, Aerial Work Platforms, Plant Equipment, Plant Hire, Machinery, Tier 2 Contractors, Glazing Contractors, Cladding Contractors, Steel Erectors, Façade Contractors, Infrastructure, Rail, Hydraulics

Coverage Area: London & South East (majority of your time in London)

Remuneration: GBP50,000 - GBP55,000 (negotiable) + 5-10% end of year bonus

Role Responsibilities:
  1. Promote the hire of our client's range of mini cranes, glass lifters, vacuum lifters, glazing robots, and other specialist lifting machinery (500+ products).
  2. Focus on selling to tier 2 contractors, glazing contractors, cladding contractors, façade contractors, steel erectors, and other specialists.
  3. Manage contract values from GBP100 to GBP40,000, with an average of GBP10,000-GBP15,000.
  4. Target annual sales of approximately GBP800,000 to GBP1 million.
  5. Primarily focus on new business development, with some account management and re-engagement of dormant customers.
  6. Travel to the HP postcode office every Friday.
Candidate Profile:
  • Experience in construction field sales, particularly selling to contractors on-site.
  • Experience with products like plant hire, cranes, lifters, lifting machinery, hydraulics, or related fields is preferred but not essential.
  • No history of frequent job-hopping.
  • High energy and hardworking attitude.
  • Ability to work independently.
