Area Sales Manager – Construction (Sanitary Wear)

About the Opportunity

A leading European manufacturer of high-quality sanitary solutions for public and commercial buildings is expanding its UK footprint. With a strong UK presence and consistent double-digit growth, the company is looking for ambitious Area Sales Managers to drive technical sales and business development across key regions.

Key Responsibilities

In this field-based role, you’ll take full ownership of your region, managing sales activity and supporting projects from initial design to completion. You will:

  • Promote technical product solutions to architects, specifiers, M&E engineers, installers, contractors, and building owners
  • Track and influence key construction projects across all stages, from specification through to delivery
  • Provide product training and demonstrations to clients, distributors, and project stakeholders
  • Grow and maintain a network of loyal professional distributors
  • Deliver consistent business development activity and achieve sales targets in your assigned territory
  • Plan, prioritise, and organise customer visits and project follow-ups
  • Act as a technical advisor and trusted partner to clients across sectors

What We’re Looking For

We’re seeking experienced and proactive professionals who enjoy selling high-spec technical products and building lasting relationships. The ideal candidate will:

  • Have 3+ years' experience in a technical sales or area sales manager role (preferably in construction, plumbing, HVAC, or building materials)
  • Be commercially driven with strong project-following skills and a customer-first approach
  • Be confident engaging with a variety of stakeholders, including specifiers, installers, and procurement teams
  • Demonstrate autonomy, initiative, and self-discipline in managing their region effectively
  • Have excellent communication and presentation skills, both face-to-face and remotely
  • Be technically curious and eager to learn through hands-on experience and training
  • Possess a full UK driving licence and willingness to travel frequently within the region
