Job summary

A leading manufacturer in fluid power solutions is looking for an Area Sales Manager to manage key accounts and drive sales of hydraulics and mechanical engineering products. The ideal candidate should have sales experience in related fields and a technical qualification would be advantageous. This role offers a salary of £45,000 - £55,000 plus bonuses and benefits including a company car and 25 days holiday.

Overview

Area Sales Manager / Sales Engineer / Business Development Manager required to join a leading manufacturer of Fluid Power products.

Responsibilities
  • Managing a number of key accounts via distribution channels and OEM customers in various industries.
  • Manage and grow existing relationships as well as business development selling various Fluid Power-related products including hydraulics, Rail Hydraulics, Agricultural equipment, Hydraulic power units (HPUs), Cylinders, Motors, valves, pumps, filtration, MRO, or similar mechanical engineering products.
  • Maintaining Hydraulics and sales with demonstration, exhibition and negotiation in order to achieve targets.
  • Working closely with the Service Department to ensure an excellent standard of after-sales service is provided.
  • Liaise with various engineering departments.
  • Willing to travel.
Area Sales Manager / Sales Engineer / Business Development Manager Requirements
  • Experience as a Key Account Manager, Account Manager, Area Sales Manager, Sales Engineer, Business Development Manager, Technical Sales Engineer or similar.
  • Experience selling or servicing mechanical engineering equipment - hydraulics, pneumatics, valves, pumps, HPUs, Hydraulic Power units, Rail Hydraulics, Agricultural equipment, filtration, motors, MRO, or similar mechanical engineering products.
  • Service Engineers looking to come off the tools and progress into sales would also be of interest.
  • Determination, enthusiasm, and motivation to succeed and grow with a reputable engineering manufacturer.
  • A technical qualification, Apprentice trained, HNC, HND or Degree would be advantageous.
  • Full clean driving license.
  • Willingness to travel to customer sites.
