Job Description:

Nordson Packaging, a global leader in precision dispensing, fluid management, and related technologies, is seeking a highly motivated and talented Area Sales Manager Packaging to join our team in UK, remote.

You should reside in Northern Ireland and be prepared to travel throughout the Island of Ireland region. We are committed to creating a diverse and inclusive workplace, and we are looking for candidates who share that same commitment.

Summary of the role

The position holder is responsible for the account management & direct sales responsibility for all packaging top customers within the area Ireland & Northern Ireland.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Maintain all packaging customers within designated territory with aim to grow revenue year on year as per the company NBS guidelines & expectations.
  • Increase system population through pro-active value selling activities within new, existing & competitive accounts.
  • Work to recapitalize existing Nordson installed base through pro-active focus on customers with inefficient & obsolete equipment.
  • Introduce, promote & up-sell latest range of Nordson equipment to all customers.
  • Develop Aftermarket business with aim to grow spare parts revenue stream including maintenance contracts, training & engineering work.
  • Gain firm knowledge of territory through courtesy calls & liaison with Engineering team.
  • Generate strong working relationships with adhesive suppliers & transfer knowledge.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Good all-round education with knowledge of engineering, sales & marketing.
  • Strong commercial & sales skills with ability to communicate with customers at all levels.
  • Fluent English language skills are mandatory.
  • Capable of working independently using own initiative or being a member of a team.
  • Ability to be flexible in day-to-day duties & willing to stay away overnight where required.

Travel

  • Yes, 80% of the time, mainly within Ireland and Northern Ireland.
