Basic Salary:

GBP 45,000 (DOE)

Location:

Home-based, covering all of Scotland and traveling to Ireland. Ideally based in or near Glasgow, Edinburgh, or Dundee, with options including Perth, Dunfermline, Kirkcaldy, Stirling, Broxburn, Livingston, Bathgate, Whitburn, Linlithgow, Falkirk, Cumbernauld, or surrounding areas.

Job Description:

As our Area Sales Manager / Business Development Manager, you will be self-sufficient and motivated by earning. Working remotely and covering Scotland and Ireland, you'll leverage your experience in contract hire sales and high-value capital equipment sales to grow your territory. Initially, this role focuses on new business development, but you will also manage an active territory with existing clients.

This is a solution-selling role, requiring you to quickly convert leads into high-value sales and to develop existing accounts through up-selling and cross-selling.

Responsibilities:
  • Meet with 2-3 clients daily
  • Conduct site surveys to generate accurate quotations
  • Advise clients on the best solutions to meet their needs
  • Follow up on quotes and close sales
Person Specification:

Ideal candidates will have a proven track record of success in contract hire and/or sales of plant, machinery, or high-value technical solutions. Experience selling to sectors such as mining, quarrying, timber, cement, concrete, steel, minerals, power generation, building materials, recycling, or similar industries is advantageous. Regardless of your background, you must be self-motivated, well-organized, and capable of building long-term relationships.
