Overview

Location: North West - Covering Cumbria, Lancashire, Greater Manchester, Merseyside, Cheshire, and North Wales

Are you an experienced sales professional with a background in Civils or Drainage? Do you enjoy working on complex, project-based solutions across a wide range of sectors? If so, this could be the role for you.

The Company

Our client is a European market leader in the design and manufacture of drainage systems, with a long-standing reputation for innovation and quality. With significant investment plans and a strong UK presence, they're looking to strengthen their team with a high-calibre sales professional in the North West.

The Role

As Area Sales Manager, you will be responsible for promoting a full range of linear and channel drainage systems. Typical projects include car parks, sports facilities, airports, and major road schemes.

You will sell directly to:

  • Civil Engineers
  • Civil / Main Contractors
  • Groundworkers

You'll also work closely with national and independent civils merchants (e.g., Keyline, Burdens, Huws Gray, JDP) to ensure smooth back-selling and project fulfilment. This is a highly successful and well-performing territory.

Ideal Candidate Profile
  • A background in civil engineering, drainage, or construction-related sales
  • Technical background
  • Experience working with contractors on major projects
  • Strong knowledge of the civils merchant network
  • A project-focused, solution-selling approach rather than a purely transactional sales style
  • Experience working for a civils merchant and selling into contractors could also be of interest if you've made the transition to field sales
  • The manager is open-minded and looking for someone who brings energy, ambition, and relevant industry knowledge
