Job description

Area Sales Manager / Sales Engineer / Business Development Manager required to join a global pumps manufacturer.

The successful Area Sales Manager / Sales Engineer / Business Development Manager will be responsible for new business development and key account management with major customers for various pump products and systems including industrial pumps, submersible pumps, metering pumps, food / hygienic pumps & more into various industries.

The ideal Area Sales Manager / Sales Engineer / Business Development Manager will ideally have a strong sales background in pumps, primarily within the water and wastewater treatment sectors. The role involves working closely with end users and contractors while also driving business growth in food and other industries to achieve a more diverse client base.

Area Sales Manager / Sales Engineer / Business Development Manager Role
  • Manage a number of established key accounts and new business development via end user and OEM customers within the pumps sector.
  • Liaise with customers to identify specifications/requirements and offer technical pumping solutions.
  • Sell a range of industrial pumps, submersible pumps, metering pumps, food / hygienic pumps & more into various industries.
  • Maintain new pump system sales with demonstration, exhibition and negotiation in order to achieve targets.
  • Working closely with the Service Department to ensure an excellent standard of after-sales service is provided.
  • Liaise with various engineering departments.
  • Fully remote covering East Midlands & East Anglia
Area Sales Manager / Sales Engineer / Business Development Manager Requirements
  • Experience as a Key Account Manager, Account Manager, Area Sales Manager, Sales Engineer, Business Development Manager, Technical Sales Engineer or similar within pumps or similar within the water and wastewater treatment sectors.
  • Experience selling, managing or servicing pumps or similar mechanical engineering products & applications.
  • Pump Service Engineers looking to come off the tools and progress in to sales are encouraged to apply.
  • A technical engineering degree, HND, HNC would be advantageous.
  • Full clean driving license.
  • Homebased, willingness to travel to customer sites across East Midlands and East Anglia.
