Overview

MCS Group is delighted to be recruiting an Area Sales Manager for an established and innovative manufacturer. This prominent European technology manufacturer is seeking an Area Sales Manager to cover Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland. With over 25 years of technological advancement behind them, this leading company is expanding its reach in the Irish market, where significant growth opportunities exist.

This role is ideal for a technically minded, hands-on salesperson with experience in industrial tools or equipment. You'll join a collaborative and forward-thinking sales team that thrives on innovation, product development, and a supportive, positive culture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and develop relationships with existing distributors, while identifying and securing new business opportunities
  • Conduct product demonstrations, particularly showcasing the latest in induction heating and welding technology
  • Deliver exceptional distributor support and manage the full sales cycle from lead generation through to closing
  • Gain in-depth product knowledge including software-integrated machinery and user-friendly induction tools
  • Regular travel across Northern Ireland (mainly) and the Republic of Ireland

Essential Skills and Qualifications

  • Proven experience in industrial sales tools, machinery, or equipment sales strongly preferred
  • Comfortable demonstrating products and speaking to technical features
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships across sectors
  • Willingness to travel and stay overnight when needed
  • Familiarity with CRM systems (training on bespoke system provided)
  • Full UK driving licence required
