Area Sales Manager - Homebased / Field Sales – Sunderland, Durham, Darlington

Up to £32,000 + great bonus, company car & home-based contract

If you are currently working in Field Sales or have the talent to match your ambition to thrive in the biggest and best Food Service sales force, and are passionate about forging a career in sales, we have a fantastic opportunity for an Area Sales Manager to join our Independent Sales Team.

Key Accountabilities

  • Build and leverage strong customer relationships through a natural curiosity in the independent sector.
  • Grow and retain customers, delivering profitable volume growth against targets.
  • Partner with your customers to understand their growth plans, add value, and offer a wide range of practical solutions and products.
  • Understand competitor activity and proposals, ensuring you always offer your customers the best local solutions.
  • Work proactively with the Business Development Manager to understand new customer requirements and ensure a successful handover.
  • Act as a brand ambassador for Brakes in your local market.

It goes without saying that you are highly service-focused, putting the customer at the heart of everything you do, providing the best solutions to support and enhance their business. Tenacious and resilient, you are a self-starter with the drive and determination to succeed and have demonstrable experience of delivering against targets. You are self-motivated to develop your skills continuously, seeking improvement through learning from a diverse range of skills and experience, including our L&D programmes. There are opportunities to progress into various commercial roles to develop your career.

You should be confident with our modernisation programme and the new technology we are adopting to improve customer experience and optimise performance. Experience with Salesforce is advantageous but not essential.
