Area Sales Manager - Homebased / Field Sales – Hull, North Yorkshire, East Coast

Salary: Up to £33,000 depending on experience + great bonus, company car or car allowance & home-based contract

If you are currently working in Field Sales or have the talent to match your ambition to thrive in the Food Service sales force, and are passionate about building a career in sales, we have an excellent opportunity for an Area Sales Manager to join our Independent Sales Team.

Key Accountabilities

  1. Build and leverage strong customer relationships through a natural curiosity in the independent sector.
  2. Grow and retain customers, delivering profitable volume growth against targets.
  3. Partner with your customers to understand their growth plans, add value, and offer a wide range of practical solutions and products.
  4. Understand competitor activity and proposals to ensure you always offer the best local solutions.
  5. Collaborate proactively with the Business Development Manager to understand new customer requirements and ensure a successful handover.
  6. Act as a brand ambassador for Brakes in your local market.

The ideal candidate will be highly service-focused, putting the customer at the heart of everything, providing the best solutions to support and grow their business. You should be tenacious, resilient, a self-starter with the drive to succeed, and experienced in delivering against targets. A self-motivated individual eager to develop professionally and learn from diverse skills and training programs will thrive here. There are significant opportunities for career progression into various commercial roles.

Comfort with our modernisation programme and new technology adoption is important. Experience with Salesforce is advantageous but not essential.
