Area Sales Manager
The Role

As an Area Sales Manager you will be targeting the Independent retail sector which includes garden centres, DIY stores, Petrol Stations, and Farm Shops across Scotland. The Area Sales Manager position will see you selling a market-leading brand of eco-friendly solid fuels such as logs, kindling, firelighters, and BBQ coal all used in domestic settings.

This field based role will see you spend at least 3-days on the road visiting your account base with pre-planned visits and drop-ins, and two days in the home office generating demand on the phone and via Teams. There are a good number spending accounts in the region so plenty to keep you busy as you strive to build them up and achieve at least 10% growth year on year.

This role will see you join a brilliant team across the UK within an instantly recognisable brand. In addition, there is potential career progression opportunities to national or key accounts in the future.

Requirements
  • Have a track record selling to Independent Merchants/DIY/Garden Centre sectors
  • Be a natural relationship builder
  • Be a hunter in mindset and want a high-activity field sales role
  • Have an attention to detail & maintain high presentation standards
  • Be an effective communicator & negotiator
  • Be prepared to travel extensively and have a clean driving licence
