We are looking for a Area Sales Manager to join us at Huws Gray covering Gainsborough & Scunthorpe!

If you’re in the trade or have ever tackled a home improvement project, you’ve probably heard of us. We’re the Huws Gray Group, made up of brands including Huws Gray, Hirebase, Civils & Lintels, The Timber Group, PDM, NDI, and Anglia Tool Centre. Across the UK, our branches serve and support local communities with building materials. We’re looking for the right people to join our team!

As an Area Sales Manager, you’ll be part of our external sales team, out on the road driving sales and promoting our products. Customer service is at our core, and you will seek opportunities to develop this within your area.

Here’s what you can expect in your role as an Area Sales Manager:

  • Work closely with customers, stakeholders, and suppliers to maximize opportunities, grow relationships, and deliver excellent service.
  • Manage all customer activity within a defined area, overseeing a portfolio of accounts.
  • Develop new profitable business into the branch network and wider business.
  • Understand local market conditions and ongoing projects within your area.
  • Add value through activities such as project planning, supplier contacts, and industry-specific advice.

We’re looking for the following attributes:

  • A positive, confident attitude and strong work ethic.
  • A passion for sales and customer service, with a hunger for the sector.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to build key relationships.
  • Previous sales experience with a proven track record of meeting targets.
  • Resilience and effective activity management.
  • Product knowledge isn’t essential, but understanding the customer base and industry is preferable.
