Area Sales Manager (South Midlands)

Ainscough Crane Hire is seeking an experienced and driven Area Sales Manager to cover the South Midlands region.

Job Purpose/Objectives

To maintain and grow revenue within the territory by developing a sales pipeline through building relationships with existing and prospective clients, aiming to meet and exceed sales targets.

Key Accountabilities/Responsibilities

  • Driving sales growth through relationship development and new business acquisition
  • Maintaining CRM data accuracy
  • Handling sales leads promptly and effectively
  • Meeting or exceeding appointment and meeting targets aligned with KPIs
  • Achieving sales targets within pricing guidelines
  • Negotiating contracts with new clients within set parameters
  • Providing regular sales pipeline updates and forecasts to the Regional Sales Manager

Person Specification

Education/Knowledge/Experience

  • Experience in sales roles with proven influencing and negotiation skills
  • Understanding of crane hire market is advantageous but not essential
  • High achiever with a career-oriented mindset and goal-driven
  • Educated to A-Level or equivalent
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
  • Construction sector experience is desirable

  • Ability to craft effective proposals and reports
  • Delivering value-added presentations to clients
  • Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills
  • Understanding of the sales process and closing techniques
