As Area Sales Manager, you will join a highly successful global market leader who is a leader in their industry. The role is field-based, covering the Southeast territory, focusing on building the customer base, meeting customer needs, and developing a strong sales pipeline. It is a full-time, permanent position offering a salary between £38,000 and £40,000, with excellent commission opportunities and an OTE of circa £50,000. The ideal location would be in the Southeast above Crawley, covering Crawley, Maidstone, Ashford, down to Margate, Folkestone, and Eastbourne.
Key Accountabilities for the Area Sales Manager:
- Identify opportunities across the territory through research, data, and networking
- Promote products to all key accounts and end users
- Manage your area by developing prospects and following up on opportunities
- Achieve territory sales through cold calling, appointment setting, site surveys, and demonstrations
- Make calls to target groups monthly
- Follow up on sales leads
- Grow your pipeline working to KPIs
- Develop key client relationships and contacts to gain traction
- Participate in team projects like new product launches and terms changes
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal teams to optimize efficiencies
- Provide product feedback, market trends, and competitor information to internal teams
Key Skills Required:
- Experience in field business development or as an area sales manager
- Proven sales track record
- Cold calling, prospecting, and business development experience
- High customer service standards
- Effective time management
- Excellent negotiation and influencing skills
- Ability to establish and nurture client relationships
- High initiative, energy, and drive
