A leading Construction Materials Processor is looking for an Area Sales Executive to manage sales in East Antrim and Belfast. This role involves building relationships with clients, developing sales leads, and providing aftersales support. The ideal candidate should have sales experience in the construction industry and strong presentation skills. A driving licence is required. Job description

VANRATH has partnered with a leading Construction Materials Processor to hire an Area Sales Executive (East Antrim and Belfast), based in Mallusk or Larne.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic sales team and have ownership of both new and existing sales business.


Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships through regular site visits, actively seeking out new business prospects while supporting existing clients.
  • Deliver aftersales care, offering support, troubleshooting, complaint resolution, and customer training particularly in quarry and site environments.
  • Identify and develop new sales leads, including exploring new markets to support long-term business growth strategies.
  • Prepare and issue formal quotations via the Qload system, ensuring best practices are followed and feedback is captured to monitor market competitiveness.
  • Maintain accurate records by updating CRM systems weekly, ensuring all sales activities and potential leads are tracked effectively.
  • Respond to customer enquiries quickly and professionally, ensuring a high standard of service at all times.
  • Stay ahead of market trends by contributing to product development discussions and monitoring competitor activity.
  • Support general operations, including the use of the company's computerised dispatch systems when required.
  • Actively participate in presentations and product demonstrations to promote solutions and strengthen client engagement.
  • Uphold company policies and procedures, including full adherence to Health and Safety requirements.
  • Demonstrate flexibility by undertaking any other duties reasonably assigned by management.
  • Ensure good working practices are consistently observed within the office and during field activities.
  • Drive sales by managing a diverse product portfolio and uncovering opportunities across all sectors.

The ideal candidate:

  • Comes with sales experience from the construction industry, or selling into the construction industry
  • Knowledge of building materials / construction industry
  • Valid driving licence
  • Strong presentation skills
