Job summary

Greene King Community Pubs is seeking an Area Manager to lead a portfolio of pubs, coaching General Managers to build successful businesses and strong teams. You will balance numbers with people, drive sales and profitability, and ensure great guest experiences.

You’ll travel to pubs, understand each business, develop talent, and bring fresh ideas to improve performance while maintaining safety and standards across the area.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership across multiple hospitality sites or strong multi-site ops experience.
• Strong commercial awareness with ability to translate insight into action.
• Passion for developing people and building high-performing teams.
• Confidence to challenge, influence and make decisions.
• Adaptable approach with resilience to changing priorities.
• Collaborative leadership style that builds trust.

Responsibilities

• Lead and inspire General Managers, coaching and supporting them to run successful pubs.
• Drive commercial performance to grow sales and profitability.
• Build strong teams, identify talent and support progression.
• Visit pubs to understand the businesses and stay visible to teams.
• Bring fresh ideas and opportunities to improve performance.
• Take ownership to ensure pubs deliver excellent standards and safe operations.
• Collaborate with support teams to ensure pubs have what they need to succeed.
