Job summary

HVAC Recruitment Limited is actively seeking an experienced Area Projects Lead to oversee construction, refurbishment and M&E projects across a portfolio of sites in Cambridgeshire. This senior role involves managing a team of Project Managers and driving the commercial performance of a busy programme.

The role requires strong experience in construction/engineering facilities management, proven project leadership, and formal PM training (PRINCE2/APM).

Qualifications

• Experience delivering multiple projects and managing project teams.
• PRINCE2, APM or equivalent project management training.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of Project Managers.
• Oversee multiple construction, refurbishment and M&E projects valued from £25,000 upwards.
• Manage projects from initial planning and procurement through to completion and handover.
• Take responsibility for project budgets, P&L, profitability and commercial performance.
• Manage subcontractors, supply chain performance and programme deadlines.
• Ensure compliance with CDM regulations, RAMS and Health & Safety legislation.
• Liaise with clients, stakeholders and operational teams.
• Monitor project risks, progress, costs and quality.
• Drive improvements in project delivery, team performance and efficiency.

Location: Cambridgeshire - Mobile / Multi-Site

Salary: £55,000-£60,000

Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent

We're recruiting an experienced Area Projects Lead to oversee construction, refurbishment and engineering projects across a portfolio of operational sites throughout Cambridgeshire.

This is a senior position managing a team of Project Managers, multiple projects and the commercial performance of a busy works programme.

Duties

• Lead and develop a team of Project Managers.
• Oversee multiple construction, refurbishment and M&E projects valued from £25,000 upwards.
• Manage projects from initial planning and procurement through to completion and handover.
• Take responsibility for project budgets, P&L, profitability and commercial performance.
• Manage subcontractors, supply chain performance and programme deadlines.
• Ensure compliance with CDM regulations, RAMS and Health & Safety legislation.
• Liaise with clients, stakeholders and operational teams.

Requirements

• Strong background in construction, engineering or facilities management projects.
• Experience delivering multiple projects and managing project teams.
• HNC or equivalent in Building/Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• PRINCE2, APM or equivalent project management training.
• IOSH or equivalent Health & Safety qualification.
• Strong commercial experience, including budgets and P&L.
• Good knowledge of CDM, contractor management and project delivery.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Ability to obtain SC security clearance.
