Job description

Our client is a Local Authority in West London who are offering a long contract, until at least end of March 2026.

The Area Planning Manager will oversee the North area team of DM Planning and Enforcement Officers. Key responsibilities include:

• Managing and leading professional teams responsible for the day-to-day delivery of DM functions
• Supporting the effective management of the Area Planning Team (North) and planning enforcement functions
• Ensuring agreed service plans and performance targets are delivered
• Maintaining a culture of putting residents first and continuous service improvement

The ideal candidate will have experience at this level and a proven track record in similar roles within a Local Authority planning department.

The rate on offer is £62/hr, with a 36-hour working week, equivalent to £446 per day (inside IR35).
