Job Description:

Contribute to the operational effectiveness of Heidelberg Materials Asphalt by helping to identify and facilitate implementation of opportunities to improve the performance of the asphalt production facilities. This includes day-to-day operations, as well as the selection of plant and equipment for new developments and improvements.

Key accountabilities:
  • Work with management to assess process, productivity, safety, environmental, and energy improvement opportunities, prioritizing those with the greatest potential.
  • Assist in analyzing new operational projects, including engineering project management and financial evaluation.
  • Resolve engineering, maintenance, and project management issues through problem solving.
  • Improve safety, productivity, and cost-efficiency through engineering solutions.
  • Provide cost-effective maintenance solutions that add value.
  • Advise senior management on engineering and project issues.
  • Ensure compliance with engineering, maintenance, and project management policies.
  • Monitor KPIs to enhance performance of engineering and maintenance functions.
Principal Challenges:
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment.
  • Manage outsourced engineering and project management functions.
  • Review, analyze, and improve operations regularly with management support.
  • Ensure compliance with quality, safety, legal, and environmental standards.
  • Align activities with procurement and HR policies.
Education/Qualification:
  • High computer literacy
Experience:
  • Minimum 5 years in engineering or production within asphalt or aggregates
  • Organized and systematic approach
  • Effective time management
