Job summary

Kids Planet Day Nurseries seeks an enthusiastic Area Manager to oversee the Sevenoaks area, driving high standards of childcare across multiple nurseries. You will work with Nursery Managers to ensure EYFS compliance, uphold an Outstanding reputation, and lead a growing management team while supporting marketing and achieving targets.

The role requires senior-level experience, Level 3 qualification or equivalent, and a strong background in safeguarding, Ofsted, budgeting, and recruitment.

Qualifications

• Must have senior-level experience managing multiple nursery settings.
• Must hold Level 3 qualification or equivalent.
• Solid understanding of Ofsted requirements and safeguarding.
• Experience budgeting and driving commercial profitability awareness.
• Extensive EYFS knowledge with experience working with children and families.
• Strong leadership and people-management skills.
• Experience in recruitment practices and employment policies.
• Must have a valid driving licence and be willing to travel between settings.

Responsibilities

• Managing a group of nursery settings to maintain high childcare standards.
• Collaborate with Nursery Managers to meet EYFS standards and help children reach their full potential.
• Maintain and develop nurseries to sustain an Outstanding reputation.
• Develop management teams and support managers to reach their full potential.
• Ensure nurseries are supported in marketing and meet FTE targets.
• Resolve issues to ensure smooth operations and best outcomes.
• Ensure compliance with Ofsted, safeguarding, and health & safety policies.
• Work with leadership to manage talent pathways for staff and new recruits.
