Job summary

Mears Housing Management is seeking an Area Manager to support a new service for vulnerable clients leaving prison, aiming to prevent homelessness and secure settled accommodation.

The role is hybrid, mainly home-based with occasional site visits; you will oversee a team of Resident Welfare Officers and work with the Probation Service and Property Team to ensure smooth transitions into accommodation.

Qualifications

• Previous line manager experience.
• Flexible working approach and ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Excellent written and spoken communication.
• Full UK Driving Licence.

Responsibilities

• Manage a team of Resident Welfare Officers delivering housing related support to people leaving prison.
• Ensure accommodation procurement and maintain standards; lead, motivate and support staff.
• Collaborate with internal teams, external agencies and partners to support resettlement and move-on.
• Deliver contractual requirements and KPI targets; manage risks and report to senior management.
