Location: Brympton Way, Yeovil, Somerse, BA202HT
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Duration: 9+ Months
Working Hours: Mon Fri, 09 00, 37 Hours per week
Pay Rate: £ 61.24 per hour

Responsibilities
  • Lead planning activities for the East and South areas of Somerset, providing strategic direction.
  • Attend planning committee meetings to represent the interests of the East and South areas.
  • Manage and resolve complaints related to planning activities within the designated areas.
  • Assist in the day-to-day operations of the planning service to ensure smooth functioning.
  • Work onsite two days per week, one day at the East Office (Mendip) and one day at the South Office (Yeovil).
Person Specification
  • Valid driving license and business car insurance required.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to provide strategic direction.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective committee participation and complaint resolution.
  • Proven experience in planning and development management.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
