About the Role
As Area Manager at NOV Pipex, you will be responsible and accountable for the complete fabrication and manufacturing process, ensuring on-time delivery to our customers. Your role involves overseeing factory operations, monitoring project progress, and driving improvements to maximise reliability and minimise costs. You will collaborate with various departments and uphold the highest standards in quality, safety, and environmental compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and improve the fabrication/manufacturing process to meet customer deadlines
  • Minimise waste, duplication, and non-value-added efforts
  • Manage factory costs, including overtime budgets
  • Lead staff training and development, enhancing team performance
  • Ensure technical, BMS, and SHE standards compliance
  • Promote workplace safety through clear risk communication and instruction (RAMS, COSHH)
  • Maintain high workmanship standards and associated documentation (pxQ)
  • Manage product flow through the factory up to dispatch readiness
  • Drive performance standards and ensure customer requirements are met or exceeded
  • Coordinate factory operations and monitor performance of operatives
  • Ensure customer due dates are met through proactive factory planning
  • Maintain PX Standards to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Supervise third-party visitors and workers within the factory
  • Investigate and implement corrective actions for incidents and quality issues
  • Promote and enforce Pipex px BMS practices within the team
  • Document and report team performance issues via Digital Diary
  • Fulfil other duties as required by the business, including travel
