Overview

Operations is the beating heart of Amazon, ensuring efficient fulfilment and dispatch of orders to meet customer demand. As an Area Manager, you will lead a team to maintain safe, efficient, and high-quality operations, and drive productivity projects across the network.

Responsibilities
  • Create, oversee, and drive a culture of safety and wellbeing
  • Analyse and implement changes to maintain high quality and productivity
  • Oversee projects to streamline processes, optimise productivity, and increase customer service quality
  • Analyse shift performance and implement actions to improve operational excellence
  • Collaborate with management-level colleagues to standardise shift practices

A day in the life involves working on a shift pattern, focusing on safety, quality, and shift performance standards, as well as overseeing process improvements and being a role model and mentor to new managers.

Basic Qualifications
  • A degree
  • Relevant people management experience
  • Experience communicating with various stakeholders
  • Experience using data to influence business decisions
  • Advanced proficiency in verbal and written English and local language
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen techniques
  • Experience in another logistics environment
  • Relevant experience with the MS Office suite
