Mears Housing Management are seeking a Area Manager to support the delivery of a new service designed to enable a vulnerable client group, avoid homelessness and move into settled accommodation.Pastoral, floating support to assist the management and sustainment of the residency and manage the accommodation forms part of the service provision. The key requirement of this service is to ensure that no one leaves prison without the offer of a place to live from their first night in the community and to support a pathway to settled accommodation.
This is a hybrid position, mainly home working with expectation to go out on patch to meet the team and attend offices for meetings etc.
About the Role
The role will support the Head of Operations, and manage the day to day operations of the Resident Welfare Team working closely with the Probation Service, the Customer Service Centre and the Property Team to ensure clients leaving prison transition smoothly and efficiently into their accommodation.
