Job summary

MJ Quinn Integrated Services Ltd is seeking an FTTP Area Manager to lead a team of engineers, delivering service targets across a central London patch. You will manage budgets, ensure staff are trained and accredited, and drive continuous improvement in performance and customer delivery.

The role requires managerial experience in telecoms, FTTP background, and a valid UK driving license; you will liaise with clients and uphold safety and quality standards while pursuing development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Managerial experience in a similar role (Telecommunications industry essential).
• FTTP background.
• Hold a full UK driving license for at least 2 years (no more than 6 points).
• Ability to communicate effectively with clients.
• Willing to Undertake relevant training and development.
• Knowledge of the BT network.
• Understanding of the Fibre network.

• Ensure all team members are skilled, kitted and accredited to client standards.
• Oversee performance and development through feedback, field visits and FPQ checks.

• Identify opportunities for multi-skilling and cross-project work on the patch.
• Continue to reduce cost and maximise bottom line revenue growth.
• Ensure safety and quality checks are carried out per MJ Quinn policy.

JOB OBJECTIVE

As the FTTP Area Manager, you will be responsible for a team of engineers providing leadership, support, direction, and feedback for their role. Managing the local area ensuring Service Delivery targets are achieved.

KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Managing the team within budget constraints and seeks every opportunity to reduce cost and maximise bottom line revenue growth.
• Ensure all team members are skilled, kitted and accredited to the standards expected by the client.
• Manages the performance and the continuous improvement of team members through development, recognition, effective communications, field visits and FPQ checks.
• Ensures that each team member is aware of the team, their individual targets and is committed to playing a full part in achieving them.

Technical Expertise & Service Delivery

• Identifies opportunities for multi skilling and cross project working on the patch to help deliver the most efficient and effective field structure across MJ Quinn.
• Seeks every opportunity to reduce cost and maximise bottom line revenue growth.
• Ensures safety and quality checks are carried out in accordance with MJ Quinn policy.

PERSON SPECIFICAITON

• Managerial experience in a similar role (Telecommunications industry essential)
• FTTP background
• Hold a full UK driving license for at least 2 years (no more than 6 points)
• Ability to communicate effectively with clients
• Willing to Undertake relevant training and development
• Knowledge of the BT network
• Understanding of the Fibre network
