About

Area Manager 45000 - 57000 + Electric Car or Allowance Corby

We Care… and if you care about getting it right 'first time-every time', we'll have a lot in common!

The Role…

You'll be helping us to consistently make the best construction decisions, with a clear eye on safety and compliance.

If you're as confident in a client-facing meeting as interpreting technical detail, this could be the role for you.

Primarily office-based with occasional site visits, you will play an important part in ensuring we deliver smart, safe and compliant utility projects.

In this strategic delivery role, you'll be responsible for overseeing a portfolio of wastewater construction works, ensuring operational, commercial and technical excellence across each job.

Here are some of the activities that you'll get involved in…

  • Act as a key client liaison, representing Clancy within the Anglian Water alliance.
  • Lead the technical review and decision-making process for all construction activities.
  • Ensure all designs and delivery plans are aligned with CDM regulations and HSE best practice.
  • Drive a right-first-time culture, supporting teams to make safe, efficient and informed choices.
  • Monitor programme and budget performance, flagging issues and identifying improvements.
  • Work closely with planning, design, and commercial teams to ensure seamless delivery.
  • Manage and develop one direct report, providing clear leadership and guidance.
  • Support innovation and continuous improvement across systems and processes.

We would love to hear from you, if you can demonstrate…

You're a safe pair of hands who is calm under pressure, confident in your judgement and committed to doing things right.

Both technical construction expertise and the interpersonal skills to lead discussions, challenge assumptions and guide teams towards the best outcome.

Significant experience in utilities or civil engineering project delivery and a passion for new and emerging technologies.

A detailed understanding of CDM regulations and their practical application.

Both SMSTS and Temporary Works Coordinator certifications.

Highly Developed organisational skills and sound commercial awareness.

A full UK driving licence
