Overview

As a Store Manager at Booker, you’ll be free to use your skills to help our business grow. You will build rapport with local business owners, seek them out and listen to what they want, helping cafes, pubs, restaurants, caterers, retailers like corner shops and newsagents to thrive.

Booker operates as a leading food and drink wholesaler with local B2C stores, where we focus on positive community impact and strong customer relationships.

Responsibilities
  • Inspire and develop the store team to perform at their best, while supporting managers and driving sales.
  • Take total responsibility for store operations, ensuring health, safety and legal compliance.
  • Engage with customers to understand needs, improve the customer experience, and raise satisfaction.
  • Be proactive, use initiative, and operate effectively on the shop floor and in a broader fast-paced business that includes online and delivery services.
  • Apply commercially-minded decision making to offer the best choice, price, and service.
Qualifications
  • Experience in the food sector is preferred.
  • Ability to build rapport with customers and manage a team effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail, multi-tasking ability, and comfort working on the shop floor and in related business operations.
