The Vacancy

Job Title: Area Maintenance Technician

Location: Reading, Watford, Bracknell, High Wycombe & Wokingham

Contract Type: Permanent

Working Hours: 40 hours/week, typically Monday – Friday (Flexibility required 24/7)

Job Purpose

This is a key position, carrying out planned and reactive maintenance across multiple site locations.

The role involves non-technical repairs and minor PPMs, as well as assisting in carrying out planned and reactive maintenance, electrical, and mechanical plant works at various sites.

All work will be completed to high standards in an efficient and cost-effective manner, complying with all Health and Safety legislation.

• Attend necessary training courses

Performance

• Prioritize and complete minor maintenance and repairs within agreed timescales
• Complete all PPMs and reactive maintenance schedules accurately and on time
• Respond promptly to service requests from Helpdesk, assessing and carrying out repairs as needed
• Ensure tools and equipment are available and functional at all times
• May be required to attend other sites within the division
• Maintain quality standards and represent the company professionally
• Support other technicians and teams with maintenance work
• Carry out tasks according to KPIs
• Update the Mercury system with live job statuses

Process

• Comply with Health and Safety policies
• Complete mandatory training and modules
• Communicate effectively with team members and management
• Ensure costs are approved

• Perform any other reasonable duties as required

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
