Key Responsibilities:
Lead the design and implementation of value engineering projects across multiple product platforms.
Deliver engineering solutions that meet business targets for cost, quality, specification, and delivery timelines.
Provide leadership and guidance to a team of engineers, supporting their development and ensuring high standards of work.
Collaborate with internal departments and external suppliers to identify opportunities, manage resources, and monitor project progress.
Act as a technical authority within the team, making sound engineering decisions and escalating issues when appropriate.
Support and enhance departmental processes while actively identifying and promoting best practices.
Conduct regular performance reviews and help shape the team’s professional growth.
Stand in for functional leads as required and represent the team at key meetings.
Requirements:
Strong background in mechanical design and engineering, with significant hands-on experience.
Proven track record in value engineering, cost optimisation, or similar roles within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
Prior experience leading and mentoring engineering teams.
Strong planning, organisational, and decision-making skills.
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities across departments and seniority levels.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
Forward-thinking mindset with a proactive approach to risk management and continuous improvement.
