Are you ready to lead, inspire, and deliver outstanding results? We are looking for a dynamic Area General Manager (AGM) to take full responsibility for the profit, performance, and health & safety of our Aggregates plants

In this critical leadership role, you will:

  • Manage a high-performing team of Operations Managers, Territory Sales Managers, Plant Production Managers, and Internal Sales Representatives.
  • Develop and execute a clear Market Strategy Plan (MSP) to drive sales and business growth.
  • Deliver operational excellence, improve sustainability efforts, and ensure Capex projects are completed on time and on budget.
  • Collaborate closely with the customer service team to exceed customer expectations.

To constantly seek to improve existing performance levels, and to identify and then pursue opportunities for further business operational efficiencies and growth.

  • Achieve the highest possible standards in Health & Safety
  • Lead, inspire, motivate and develop the individual capabilities of the sales and operational teams to drive the execution of the defined area business strategy
  • Develop and update quarterly a Market Strategy Plan (MSP) and drive performance throughout the area to achieve targets for sales volumes, selling price and margin.
  • Ensure that the TSMs are pre-planning their activity – both digital and face-to-face - in a structured efficient manner which is aligned to their Territory Plan
  • Ensure TSM call cycles for customers and prospects defined and adhered to. Use a variety of digital media, including video calls, to maintain close customer contact.
  • Implement a commercial and operational management cycle for your team that also incorporates the customer service team
  • Operating to the highest level of environmental objectives in line with Hanson’s Environmental Management Plan. Action and deliver a plan of continuous improvement in this area.
  • Ensure all statutory legislation and company regulations are adhered to with respect to all operational activities.
  • Achieve optimum production levels in line with commercial activity at optimum value for money. Continually advance operational improvements to improve efficiency with the production functions.
  • Quality: Working with the technical function to ensure operational procedures are such that the highest quality levels are achieved at the most efficient operational cost.
