Nurse Seekers are proud to be working on behalf of a quality Afterschool and Holiday Club Childcare provider that offers wraparound care. They are seeking to employ an exceptional Area Manager to oversee 2 leading settings in Bournemouth & Christchurch.
This role offers a unique opportunity with split shifts, promoting a healthy work/life balance.
Necessary Requirements:
- Hold a Level Three qualification or equivalent, and/or have at least 2 years of managerial experience in Playwork or a similar field, with the ability to pass an Ofsted Suitability Interview.
- Strong leadership skills
- Extensive experience working with children in similar settings
- A passion for early childhood education and development
- Willingness to participate fully in in-house and external training, provide feedback, and assist others in understanding training objectives
- Knowledge of safeguarding, health & safety standards
- Ability to lead children in activities
- Teamwork skills, supporting colleagues and maintaining high standards of care
- Professional communication with children and parents
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee collection arrangements and ensure children are safely collected
- Account for any absent children
- Plan and organize activities in advance, involving staff and children where possible, and keep detailed records
- Ensure compliance with Ofsted EYFS standards, GDPR, and health & safety regulations
- Adhere to and promote club policies and EYFS standards, aiming to raise standards
- Support staff in managing inappropriate behavior according to policies and law
- Serve as the designated safeguarding lead and report to the company's safeguarding lead
- Lead weekly team and holiday club meetings, and participate in managerial and training sessions
- Oversee EYFS children's Keywork, ensuring positive relationships, accurate record-keeping, personalized planning, and evaluation
- Maintain up-to-date staff paperwork, including induction and sign-in/out records
- Implement training manuals and meet training requirements
