Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced, driven and proactive Area Account Manager for region of South (West and East) to join our expanding team. Reporting to the Sales Manager, this field-based role requires a self-motivated individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment. You will play a critical role in driving growth by promoting Pier UK's vacuum excavation services, building strong client relationships, and developing new business opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage existing customer accounts to build and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Develop and implement an effective territory sales strategy to drive revenue growth.
  • Prospect new accounts through field activity, with plans to acquire and onboard customers.
  • Conduct site visits to ensure compliance with company standards and policies.
  • Travel extensively, including regular overnight stays, for site visits and client meetings in the South (West and East) region.

Skills & Experience Required

  • Proven B2B account management and field sales experience, ideally within the plant hire or hire industry.
  • Strong management and organizational skills, demonstrated in a similar role.
  • CRM experience preferred; training provided on company platform.
  • Full UK driving licence required.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and challenge constructively.
  • Strong negotiation skills with an assertive approach to achieving sales targets.
  • Confident engaging with stakeholders at all levels to establish long-term partnerships.
  • Adaptable to changing situations with effective task prioritization.

Working Hours

  • Monday to Friday, 08:00 am to 05:30 pm.
