We are seeking an experienced, driven and proactive Area Account Manager for the region of South (West and East) to join our expanding team. Reporting to the Sales Manager, this field-based role requires a self-motivated individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment. You will play a critical role in driving growth by promoting Pier UK's vacuum excavation services, building strong client relationships, and developing new business opportunities.

The key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Manage existing customer accounts to build and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Develop and implement an effective territory sales strategy to drive revenue growth.
  • Prospect new accounts through field activity, with plans to acquire and onboard customers.
  • Conduct site visits to ensure compliance with company standards and policies.
  • Travel extensively, including regular overnight stays, for site visits and client meetings in the South (West and East) region.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Proven B2B account management and field sales experience, ideally within the plant hire or hire industry.
  • Strong management and organizational skills, demonstrated in a similar role.
  • CRM experience preferred; training provided on company platform.
  • Full UK driving licence required.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and challenge constructively.
  • Strong negotiation skills with an assertive approach to achieving sales targets.
  • Confident engaging with stakeholders at all levels to establish long-term partnerships.
  • Adaptable to changing situations with effective task prioritization.
