Job summary

FBI &TMT is seeking an Ardupilot Engineer to join a fast-moving Defence-Tech startup focused on cutting-edge drone systems. You will own the autopilot software stack across platforms and write robust C++ for embedded flight controllers, while tuning PID loops and validating designs in SITL and real flight tests.

The role emphasizes independent work in a fast-paced R&D setting, with opportunities to contribute to safety-critical defence projects and collaboration across multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with Ardupilot or PX4.
• Strong C++ skills for embedded flight controllers.
• Knowledge of MAVLink and UAV communication protocols.
• Experience taking concepts to tested, working implementations.

Responsibilities

• Own the autopilot software stack for multiple platforms.
• Write high-quality C++ code for embedded flight controllers.
• Tune PID loops and control systems using real flight data and simulations.
• Develop and maintain SITL environments for code validation.
• Define and execute software test plans across bench, SITL, ground and flight environments.
• Document software requirements and design decisions.
• Engage in peer reviews and contribute to internal engineering standards.
• Participate in flight testing sessions to ensure real-world performance.
