We are looking for a Senior Software Developer to join our Secure Innovation & Advisory area within the Space, Defence and Intelligence business unit at CGI.

Your future duties and responsibilities

We seek a motivated Data Engineer to drive data collection, formatting, and integrity, focusing on advanced data systems using technologies like Kafka, Kubernetes, Zookeeper, and HDFS. The role involves modernizing data infrastructure, automating release processes, collaborating with teams to meet security and data needs, and maintaining data integrity at high volumes.

Required qualifications

Technical Skills:

• Experience with distributed data systems (Kafka, Kubernetes, Zookeeper, HDFS)
• Proficiency in Linux (RHEL)
• Knowledge of SIEM platforms (ArcSight) or legacy Java applications is a plus
• Understanding of DevOps principles, with automation experience using Ansible

Programming and Data Skills:

• Proficiency in SQL, Python, or similar languages
• Experience in data integrity and audit practices

Security Knowledge:

• Background in Cyber Security, ideally with CompTIA Security+

Preferred Experience

• Experience with Big Data environments and security operations
• Strong communication and collaboration skills for cross-functional projects
