Job Description:

Amour Recruitment is seeking an Archivist/Legal Cashier to work with a great firm of Solicitors based in Chichester.

We are looking for someone who has genuine enthusiasm and motivation with an aptitude for numbers and a keen eye for detail.

Duties Include:

  • Archive files in accordance with the firm’s policies and regulatory requirements
  • Maintain a client database in connection with archived files
  • Liaise with fee earners, external storage, and secure shredding companies in relation to file collection, retrieval, and destruction.
  • Processing financial transactions relating to client matters in a timely manner and in accordance with the SRA Accounts Rules.
  • Managing and reconciling supplier invoices and credit notes, ensuring invoices are paid within agreed terms.
  • Preparing payment runs, including BACS transfers and cheque payments.
  • Processing petty cash and credit card expenditure.

Personal requirements:

  • Previous experience working in a professional office preferred
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Good organisational and time management skills
  • Competent IT skills and knowledge of Microsoft Excel

Hours: 9 am to 5.15pm Monday to Friday

Salary: from £24,000 (salary negotiable for the right candidate)
