A local council in Scotland is seeking a friendly and organised individual to enable access to Archives collections at Callendar House. The role involves supporting visitors in the public search room, responding to enquiries, and contributing to documentation and cataloguing of collections. Ideal candidates will be educated to graduate level and have some experience in an information setting. The position offers 18.5 hours per week, across Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
We have an exciting opportunity for a friendly and organised person to enable access to the Archives collections based at Callendar House. You will be educated to graduate level and will have some experience of working with the public, ideally in an information setting.
In this role, you will support visitors in our public search room, responding to enquiries from members of the public by offering advice and information.
Additionally, you will contribute to the documentation and cataloguing of our collections, ensuring compliance with information access regulations and upholding international standards for collection preservation, care and security.
This post is for 18.5 hours per week, to be worked across Monday, Wednesday and Thursday, in alignment with the core operating days of the archive service.
