Job summary

Conrad Consulting Ltd in Cornwall is seeking an Architectural Technologist/Technician to join their growing technical team as residential development expands. You will work on feasibility layouts, planning submissions, site queries, drawing production, and coordination with consultants.

This is an opportunity for someone early in their career to develop skills with senior staff on live schemes from feasibility through delivery.

Qualifications

• 2+ years' experience within a Residential architectural or technical environment in UK Practice.
• Architectural Technology degree, or working towards a relevant qualification.
• Experience working with CAD and 3D rendering software (Revit, Vectorworks, ArchiCAD).
• Exposure to planning and building control drawing production.
• A portfolio demonstrating developing technical drawing skills.
• Enthusiasm to learn and take on responsibility within a commercial, development-focused setting.
• Good communication skills and a willingness to work across multiple stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with the production of feasibility layouts, house types, and standard design details.
• Supporting the preparation of drawings and documentation for planning and building control submissions.
• Helping manage site queries and RFIs under guidance from senior team members.
• Coordinating consultant information and assisting with reviewing manufacturer/subcontractor details.
• Maintaining project documentation and drawing registers.
• Supporting reviews of utilities and infrastructure requirements.
• Assisting with quantity information for tender purposes.
• Contributing to reviews of interior specifications and product selections.

Conrad Consulting have partnered with our longstanding client, a Developer based in Cornwall, who are looking for an Architectural Technologist/Technician to join their growing technical team as their Architectural offering expands.

This is a great opportunity for someone early in their career to gain exposure to the commercial side of a development-focused practice, working alongside experienced technical staff on live residential schemes from feasibility through to delivery, Likewise if you can offer more experience working withing the Residential sector and interested in moving over the Developer side of business, this is something my client would be open to!
