Job summary

Penguin Recruitment is seeking an Architectural Technologist in Bolton to contribute from early design development through to technical delivery on a diverse portfolio of projects across sectors.

You will produce high-quality technical drawings, details and specifications, coordinate information with architects, engineers and consultants, and ensure designs comply with UK Building Regulations while supporting BIM-enabled project delivery and professional development within a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent in Architectural Technology.
• Experience in architectural practice or construction/design environment.
• Strong post-degree experience.
• Good knowledge of UK Building Regulations.
• Proficient in detailed drawings and technical information.
• CIAT membership or working toward accreditation advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Produce high-quality technical drawings, details, specifications and schedules.
• Develop projects from concept to detailed design and construction.
• Prepare accurate and coordinated information for project delivery.
• Work collaboratively with architects, structural engineers, quantity surveyors and external consultants.
• Assist with the coordination of technical information across multidisciplinary teams.
• Ensure designs comply with UK Building Regulations and technical standards.
• Contribute to BIM and digital design processes, including Revit-based delivery.
• Attend site visits and assist with resolving technical issues during construction.
• Liaise with clients, contractors and consultants to help ensure projects are delivered effectively.
• Assist with planning, building regulations and other statutory submissions where required.
• Contribute to design development and problem-solving and buildability.
