Linsco is working with a well-established and highly reputable construction company who are looking for a Technical Coordinator to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity that will offer a competitive salary, a great working environment, and potential career progression.

My client will also consider an Architectural Technologist who has experience managing the whole process and is ready to transition from hands-on work. This is an excellent opportunity for someone experienced in the technical industry.

As a Technical Coordinator, you will coordinate all technical information between external consultants and internal departments throughout the design and construction process to ensure all approvals are obtained and information is received and issued promptly for a timely start on site.

Some duties include:

  • Ensure all drawings and details are accurate and commercially suitable throughout the design and construction phases.

  • Liaise with all relevant colleagues regarding technical matters.

  • Attend meetings to update, collate, and discuss all technical matters.

  • Coordinate design team meetings with internal and external participants.

  • Attend site meetings as required.

  • Coordinate the planning process.

  • Agree on construction specifications, SAP, and BREEAM strategy for the project.

  • Assist Commercial and Buying teams in reviewing and approving subcontractor design information.

  • Ensure accurate and timely design information in line with client requirements.

  • Ensure cost-effective design control.

  • Maintain and manage all current drawings, documents, and information for all contracts.

  • Review and check contract documentation, warranties, and bond requirements in liaison with the Contracts Manager.

  • Review planning approval to ensure conditions are addressed prior to starting on site.

  • Apply for and secure statutory body approval of Engineering Design and ground remediation.

  • Coordinate Temporary Works designs.

  • Attend site visits and meetings to resolve issues that arise during the construction process.

  • Ensure that new regulation requirements are anticipated and incorporated as required.

  • Coordinate the submission of a Building Control application and supporting documentation.
