A leading architectural practice in Woking is seeking an Architectural Technologist to join their team. The successful candidate will produce working drawings and manage various residential projects, working closely with national and regional house builders. Essential qualifications include HND/HNC, strong Autocad skills, and knowledge of UK building regulations. This full-time role requires working five days a week in the office.

Qualifications

Job description

Architectural Technologist - Autocad - Surrey

HND/HNC standard with good construction knowledge for the production of working drawings with minimal supervision is essential.

Joining this Professional Architectural Practice who specialise in residential development working as an Architectural Technologist, the successful candidate will be involved in various projects working for a number of national blue chip and regional house builders and local developers.

Applicants must possess excellent Autocad skills and knowledge of the current UK building regulations as essential and previous experience working as an Architectural Technologist.

You will be capable of a high degree of accuracy along with self-checking and possess a real pride in the work you produce integrated with good communication skills.

Architectural Technologist - Key tasks

  • Contribute to the design team and wider company as a whole
  • Production of accurate information, drawings and details as necessary for the various stages of the project from scheme design to construction drawings under guidance
  • Accurately interpret the requirements for each project with the Principle/Senior, to ensure that the company provides and meets the client's expectations
  • Proficient in CAD principles and draw confidently
  • Create basic building plans and elevations (optimisation drawings).
  • Edit plans and elevations
  • Coordinate with other consultants i.e. structural and civil engineer, energy assessor etc

Applicants must live within easy commute of the offices based in Woking, Surrey

This role is working full-time, 5 days a week in their office
