Job summary

Bimplus is seeking an Architectural Technologist in Sheffield to join a well-established architecture practice. You will work on residential, commercial, mixed-use and heritage projects, handling multiple live schemes from early design through to construction and producing drawings with AutoCAD and Revit.

The role is hybrid, with two days in-office and a training phase in the office for the first 3–4 weeks.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years' relevant experience as an Architectural Technologist.
• Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD (priority) and Revit.
• Experience with SketchUp and Enscape.
• Proficient in NBS and Microsoft Office.
• Full UK driving licence required, as the role involves travel.

Responsibilities

• Working across multiple live projects concurrently, at varying stages (from early design through to construction).
• Producing technical drawings and details using AutoCAD and Revit.
• Supporting 3D visualisation and design communication using SketchUp/Enscape.
• Preparing and referencing specification documentation via NBS.

About the Client

Our client is an established architecture and design practice based in Sheffield, working across a broad portfolio of sectors including residential, commercial, mixed-use, education, student accommodation, regeneration, and listed building projects. The practice has a strong track record of delivering projects across the UK, from new-build developments to sensitive refurbishments of heritage buildings.

The Role

We are recruiting on behalf of our client for an Architectural Technologist to join their team. This is a great opportunity for a technologist looking to broaden their experience across a varied project portfolio, working on multiple schemes simultaneously and at different stages of the design and delivery process.

Key Responsibilities

• Working across multiple live projects concurrently, at varying stages (from early design through to construction)
• Producing technical drawings and details using AutoCAD and Revit
• Supporting 3D visualisation and design communication using SketchUp/Enscape
• Preparing and referencing specification documentation via NBS
• Collaborating with the wider design team across a broad range of project types

Candidate Requirements

• 2-5 years' relevant experience as an Architectural Technologist
• Experience working across multiple projects at the same time, ideally at different stages, is important
• Proficiency in AutoCAD (priority) and Revit
• Experience with 3D software such as SketchUp and/or Enscape
• Confident user of NBS and Microsoft Office
• Full UK driving licence required, as the role involves travel

Working Arrangements

• Office-based a minimum of 2 days per week (Monday and Thursday)
• New starters will be required to work from the office full-time for the first 3-4 weeks as part of onboarding/training
• Given this, candidates should be able to comfortably commute to or be based near Sheffield, at least initially
