Architectural Technician Job in Sevenoaks, Kent

Hunter Dunning Recruitment is currently seeking candidates for an opportunity, at our client’s employee-owned firm in Sevenoaks. This role offers a unique chance to join a multidisciplinary team, working on a variety of projects spanning residential, healthcare, education, commercial, leisure, and more.

Based across two offices with over twenty members of staff this employee-owned multidisciplinary practice offers a range of services including Architectural, building surveying, and project management. Due to continued success, they are now seeking an Architectural Technician to join their residential team.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Work on the production of technical drawing packages
  • Design presentation materials like boards and layouts
  • Ensure compliance with building regulations, NHBC guidelines, and other relevant laws
  • Assess risks and create health and safety plans according to regulations
  • Inspect construction sites to ensure compliance with drawings and issue instructions as needed
  • Organise drawings properly and back up computer files monthly
  • Measure existing buildings on-site as required for projects.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Possess a minimum of 2 years of practice experience
  • Skilled in the use of Auto-CAD
  • Current knowledge of UK regulations
  • Experience in UK-based residential projects would be essential.
