Job description

A full-time role for an enthusiastic individual with 2+ years of experience in the residential construction and refurbishment sector. We are looking for someone who has a passion for and knowledge of the technical side of architecture with experience producing technical packs and details and liaising with contractors and suppliers on site.

Role Description:

• Production of technical drawings using CAD (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp).
• Production of tender and construction packs, including plans, elevations and sections and detailed construction details.
• Ensure all design work complies with UK Building Regulations, planning policies, and relevant codes and standards.
• Assistance with building control liaison, compliance, submission, and completion.
• Apply strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and detailing to support practical, buildable designs.
• Contribution to and production of planning drawings.
• Coordination and liaison with specialist 3rd parties, such as structural and mechanical engineers.
• Resolution of design and technical issues during both the design and construction phases.
• Research and specification of appropriate products, materials, and finishes in line with project requirements and budgets.
• Support the project team with site visits, technical inspections, and coordination during construction.
