Overview

Architectural Technologist


We have partnered with our clients, who are seeking experienced Architectural Technologists with 5+ years of post-qualification experience. With several large-scale projects recently given the go ahead, they are now expanding their team to meet the demand. This well-established practice, located in the heart of Bristol City Centre, is known for delivering high-quality projects across both the private and public sectors. If you\'re looking to work on innovative and impactful projects, this is the perfect opportunity to join a dynamic and growing team.


If you have a minimum 5 years of experience within the residential, masterplanning and large scale sectors and have demonstratable experience working in a project running capacity, and capabilities of delivering large scale projects across various sectors, this could be your chance to join one of the dominant figures within the architectural scene in the Avon Region.



Key Responsibilities


  • Prepare detailed technical drawings, specifications, and plans for large-scale projects, ensuring compliance with UK building regulations and industry standards.

  • Ensure all design solutions meet relevant UK building regulations, legislation, and codes of practice.

  • Collaborate closely with architects, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project delivery.

  • Support project management in maintaining timelines, resources, and budgets, ensuring projects are delivered on schedule.

  • Conduct site surveys and assist with inspections to assess and ensure adherence to design specifications during construction.

  • Integrate sustainable design solutions and energy-efficient practices, ensuring projects meet environmental standards.

  • Create and maintain 3D models using BIM software to enhance design and visualisation

  • Oversee quality control processes to ensure construction methods meet required standards.

  • Provide technical expertise and problem-solving solutions throughout all stages of the project to ensure designs are practical and buildable.

  • Maintain strong communication with clients to understand their project requirements, address concerns, and ensure designs align with their vision.

  • Prepare comprehensive documentation throughout all project phases, including design revisions, compliance reports, and construction updates.



Essential Requirements


  • 5+ years\' experience post qualification in Architectural Technology

  • Strong understanding of UK building regulations & construction methods.

  • Proficiency in Revit & AutoCAD - Essential

  • Demonstratable project running experience on large scale projects

  • CIAT Chartered - Desirable.

  • Project Management skills - Desirable

  • Senior Level experience - Desirable
